摘要
This paper presents a novel image encryption and authentication scheme leveraging dynamic DNA encoding, Hyperchaotic system, and Elliptic curve cryptography. A color image is encoded into a DNA sequence using randomly selected row-level encoding rules. A novel 4D-Hyperchaotic system is used to generate pseudo-random sequences to permutate image information at bit-level and block-level. Hyperchaotic systems tend to have increased non-periodicity, ergodicity, and unpredictability than simple chaotic systems. Elliptic curve-based substitution system is employed to achieve computationally efficient encryption and authentication. A mutually authenticated symmetric key exchange scheme between sender and receiver is proposed. Different subkeys have been employed to increase the keyspace and embed confusion and diffusion into the proposed scheme. A digital signature algorithm using elliptic curve point splitting is also proposed for authentication and source non repudiation. Results and analysis show that the proposed technique is computationally efficient yet robust to different types of attacks and cryptanalysis carried over images.
