A Proposal for Quality Assessment Model for Software Requirements Specification in Indonesian Language for e-Government

摘要
Many software applications in e-Government have been developed. To build an application, a good requirements specifications is needed to have a good quality software at the end. Poor quality requirements may cause failures in many software development projects. Typical software developments may not be written by an expert in requirements specification. Therefore they were often ambiguous or may exhibit a poor quality software. To determine the quality of software requirements, we need a method or model to assess these requirements statements. Most of these requirements are expressed in the natural language of the users using their native language. There have been a several research about quality model for software requirement but not much for Indonesian language expression, especially in the area of e-Government. In addition, there is no standard in writing software requirements specification statements in Indonesian Language. In this paper, we propose a quality assesment model of Software Requirements Specification (SRS) in Indonesian language. The model performs requirements assessment that consist of three elements 1) matching the requirements to the boilerplates templates, 2) calculating the similarity values and 3) assessment of the traceability matrix between software requirements, regulations documents and user requirements. We have applied this model to assess the quality of an SRS of an e-Government application. The model has been able to present some recommendations to improve the quality of the original requirements specification.
