In this work, we have investigated the temperature dependence and effect of seed layer thickness on the exchange bias of a Ni80Fe20 (t(s))/Fe50Mn50 (20 nm)/Ni80Fe20 (20 nm) trilayer, with t(s) varied systematically from 5 to 50 nm. Room temperature hysteresis loops show that variation in t(s) strongly affects the exchange bias of both the seed and top Ni80Fe20 layers. Magnetotransport measurements were used to determine the temperature dependence of the overall exchange field (H-E) and coercivity (H-C) as a function of seed layer thickness.
