摘要
The mixing and combustion processes of deflected jet flames injected at three different angles into a crossflow (-45degrees, 0degrees, and 45degrees) are investigated using the simultaneous PIV and CH PLIF technique. Deflected jet flames injected at 0degrees and 45degrees are stabilized with hydrogen pilot flames, while deflected jet flames injected at -45degrees stabilize without pilot flames at certain injection velocities. A correlation between the velocity on the CH layer, U-F, and the stoichiometric velocity, U-S, is found at the wind-ward side, but it is not as distinct at the lee side of the jets. Contrary to attached jet diffusion flames in coflow, a large two dimensional dilatation is observed on the flame surface at upstream positions, and it is thought to be a result of the premixed characteristics of deflected jet flames. As the injection angle increases the flame length increases due to the reduced entrainment. (C) 2003 The Combustion Institute. All rights reserved.
