摘要
Knowing about the face milling force components, their magnitude and directions, are essential for machine-tool construction, workpiece-fixture design and machining distortion analysis etc. Based on a traditional face milling force model, an enhanced model for complex workpiece geometry which more practical has been presented in this paper The key techniques of the model include the ability to handle complex surface geometry, two-dimensional cutter feed trajectories representation, cutter tooth-workpiece engagement computation. The validity of proposed face milling model has been verified by analysing the simulation results.
