摘要：
The concept of the socio-technical system design tool (STSD tool) is presented. The STSD tool supports participatory re-design of assembly enterprises on the basis of the socio-technical approach. It is aimed at a joint optimization of social and technical factors. For this the tool offers criteria for analysis and guidelines for the development of solutions. Arguments for the chosen concept as well as the theoretical approach the STSD tool is based on are explained. The procedure of the tool application is described in detail and results of a test of the concept of the STSD tool are summarized. Copyright((C)) 2001 IFAC.
