The aim of this work was to understand, through a research about school manuals published between 1946 and 1997, the way the teaching of Brazilian participation at the Second World War was proposed to millions of young and adult students and in which way a kind of school memory of this event was built. © 2010 by the Board of Regents of the University of Wisconsin System.
