摘要：
New efforts brought about by new European laws will lead to better medicines for children, but they will also lead to better safety through pharmacovigilance. Pharmacovigilance is defined as the science and activities relating to the detection, assessment, understanding, and prevention of adverse effects or any other possible drug-related problems. In this article, awareness and evaluation of adverse drug reactions (ADRs) are described as well as one of the objectives of pharmacovigilance. The aim nowadays is to focus much more on drug safety in children, an especially vulnerable and neglected population. Therefore, all pediatricians should spontaneously report suspected ADRs in children to the drug evaluation agencies.
