摘要
Samples of the austenitic stainless steel GX5CrNi19-10 have been thermally treated by solution treatment followed by nitriding After that treatment the samples of that stainless steel was tested at cavitation erosion In the areas affected by cavitation appear structure changes, micro cracks in a structure, separation and expulsions in structure Were obtained cavitation erosion resistance increases due to structural changes There were hardness and microstructure analysis Showed how steel structure influence on mass loss by cavitation. In conclusion, the thermal treatment of solution treatment followed by nitriding give a high cavitational erosion resistance to austenitic stainless steel GX5CrNi19-10.
