摘要：
5 alpha-Androstan-3 beta,17 beta-diol (3b-adiol), a known inhibitor of prostate cancer cell growth, was synthesized from tigogenin. Its structure was confirmed by NMR and IR spectroscopy and mass spectroscopy.
