The main objective of this paper is the analysis, modelling and functional simulation of the multilayer spiral inductors in order to identify, highlight and analyze the effects and phenomena that occur with the transition from their one layer realization to their multilayer construction, in order to determine the advantages and disadvantages of using multilayer spiral inductors in comparison with the monolayer spiral inductors. In order to achieve this goals, a set of multilayer spiral inductors with different geometrical shapes, dimensions and configurations is created, inductors which are then analysed, analytical and numerical modelled and functional simulated in the 1-10 GHz frequency domain in order to identify, highlight and analyze the effects and phenomena which arise once the transition from the monolayer to the multilayer inductors is made, to establish the advantages and disadvantages of the multilayer spiral inductors use relative to monolayer spiral inductors.
