Thinking the Discipline: "European Ethnology" between Cultural Analysis and Material Culture Studies

Ten years after the Bologna reforms, this paper traces the landscape contours of the discipline. It gives an overview of how the field presents itself on the Internet and examines dissertation and postdoctoral thesis topics from 2000 to the present. The main focus is on material culture studies and the theoretical aspects of cultural analysis with respect to the "veto right" of things.
