摘要
The main goal of this article is to determine the specific cutting energy as well as process parameter optimisation of the abrasive waterjet (AWJ) machining process. An analytical model for specific energy has been developed. Series of the experiments have been conducted to determine the specific cutting energy involved in this article to see its effect on the performance. Artificial neural network (ANN) approach has been also used for the comparison purpose of the experimental results obtained with the optimisation results and found good agreement between them. It is concluded that the ANN predicts good model for the comparison purpose of the process parameters of AWJ cutting.
