摘要
The fluctuating characteristic of wind energy causes difficulty in predicting, scheduling, managing and controlling wind power generation efficiently. Battery energy storage system (BESS) coordinated with wind turbines has great potential to solve these problems. This paper reviews the sequence of research done in controlling frequency using coordination between BESS and pitch control strategy, coordination between BESS and droop control strategy, coordination between BESS. Challenges present in the existing BESS coordination strategies is discussed and a new coordination strategy between BESS is presented.
