摘要
A new method of rolling rails on universal rail-rolling mills equipped with a continuously reversible group of stands is discussed. A relation is obtained to calculate the slopes of the lateral faces of the horizontal rolls in universal four-roll passes, including a prefinishing pass, as functions of the slopes of the corresponding lateral faces of the horizontal rolls in a finishing universal three-roll pass. The influence of the new rolling method on the quality of the section geometry, the straightness of rails, and the wear of the horizontal rolls in a finishing universal stand is shown.
