Influence of Nano Colloidal Silver in Dyeing of Wool with Acid Blue 92: Isotherm Adsorption, Kinetic Studies and Dyed Wool Characterization

摘要
The aim of this study was to investigate dyeing of wool fabric with C. I. Acid Blue 92 in presence of nano silver particles, obtaining antibacterial dyed wool fabric in one single step. The kinetics of acid dye adsorption on wool fabric was described by both the pseudo first and pseudo second order models. It was also observed that dyeing in presence of nano silver particles was well fitted in Freundlich isotherm with high correlation coefficient (R-2), better than Langmuir isotherm. Higher dye adsorption, improved washing fastness and enhanced tensile strength were the prominent achievements in presence of nano silver particles.
