摘要
In this study, c-axis-correlated pinning centers, which are known to increase the critical current density (J(c)) for B parallel to c-axis, were produced by heavy-ion-irradiation in REBa2Cu3Oy (RE: rare earth element, RE123) coated conductors, and the subsequent changes in J(c) were measured. A peak in the angular dependence of J(c) induced by the defects was observed for applied magnetic fields of up to 13 T for Er123 films with matching fields of B-phi = 0.1 and 1 T. We found that the columnar defects led to improvements in J(c) even under applied magnetic fields more than 130 times higher than B-phi. (C) 2009 The Japan Society of Applied Physics
