Indentation of a Smooth Axisymmetric Punch into a Transversely Isotropic Layer

摘要
We consider an axisymmetric contact problem for a transversely isotropic layer on a rigid base. The problem is reduced to a Fredholm integro-differential equation of the first kind for the contact pressure under the Punch. The integral equation is solved by the collocation method [1] Some numerical results are presented.
