Faculty time allocation - A study of change over twenty years

摘要
This study examines changes in the time faculty spent engaged in teaching, advising, and research at the institutional level. Findings indicate that institutions are becoming more similar in their patterns of faculty time allocation, particularly regarding increased time spent engaged in research. Ironically, these changes are accompanied by increases in time spent teaching at nearly all institutional types.
