Highly efficient phosphosilicate Raman fiber lasers for optical amplifiers pumping

摘要
Highly phosphorus-doped (10-17 mol.% P2O5) low loss single-mode fibers have been developed. The results of the detailed investigation of an extremely simple and efficient 1.24 mu m phosphosilicate fiber-based Raman laser with Bragg gratings written directly in the fiber used are reported. The laser pumped by Nd fiber laser exhibits a quantum efficiency of 77%. 1.48-mu m phosphosilicate fiber-based Raman laser with an output power of 1 W is developed.
