FTIR kinetic study of the reactions of γ-caprolactone and γ-heptalactone initiated by Cl and OH radicals at 298 K and atmospheric pressure

摘要
Rate coefficients were determined for the reactions of the furanones (C6H10O2) (C7H12O2) with OH radicals (k(1) and k(2)) and with Cl atoms (k(3) and k(4)) at 298 K, to be (in cm(3) molecule(-1) s(-1)): k(1) = (6.4 +/- 1.4) x 10(-12), k(2) = (8.8 +/- 1.9) x 10(-12), k(3) = (1.30 +/- 0.41) x 10(-10), k(4) = (1.70 +/- 0.34) x 10(-10), respectively. k(OH) correlates with k(Cl) and SAR show C5 as the favored site of H abstraction.
