摘要
In this article we propose a new joint encoding, this encoding is aimed, in the still image transmission to improve its environment in very bad situation (BER> 10-3) received results of visual images, and make full use of the communication system resources to achieve the best effect of end-to-end communications. This new joint code is based on wavelet transform, we've used vector quantizations from codebooks built with self-organizing maps (SOM algorithm), these codebooks can be superimposed on constellations of quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM).
