A brief review is presented on the properties of hydrogen in germanium. We will discuss the early work which was driven by the quest for high-purity Ge. Emphasis is given to recent work on isolated hydrogen and hydrogen dimers. (C) 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
