摘要
The chemical composition and heat treatment of Ni-Cr-Mo alloys for high strength and high corrosion/wear resistance are investigated. Hayens 242 alloy is an important alloy that exhibits excellent high temperature and ductility, low thermal expansion characteristics, good oxidation resistance and excellent fabricability. Another Ni-Cr-Mo alloy, called as Nistelle Super C is developed for enhanced corrosion resistance, material characterization and phase transformation and microstructure of this alloy was done, followed by investigation of mechanical properties, and corrosion resistance in oxidizing and reducing acids. The phase transition behavior of Nistelle C and Nistelle Super C were studied using differential scanning calorimetry and SEM backscattering and X ray diffraction studies were done to show the microstructures of Nistelle C and Nistelle Super C.
