摘要：

Taxonomically important structural characters and their states are given in an attempt to clarity and standardise the confusing and ambiguous terminology that is currently used in descriptions and identification keys of Umbelliferae taxa. The proposed terms to be used for characters and character states are listed, illustrated and discussed.
