摘要
The Zr55Al10Ni5Cu30 bulk amorphous alloy and specimens with quenched-in crystallites were prepared by copper mold casting method, to study the symmetrically cyclic deformation behavior of bulk amorphous alloy. Under symmetrically cyclic loading, the amorphous specimen and the specimen with larger quenched-in crystallites softened slightly. However, a gradual cyclic softening occurred for the amorphous specimen with fine quenched-in crystallites. The fine crystallites seemed to protrude from the amorphous matrix and some bulges appeared on the surface of specimen with fine crystallites under cyclic loading. The presence of crystallites in the amorphous matrix lowered the fatigue properties of material.
