摘要
The intention of this manuscript is discusses in detail and didactic about the thermal and hydrazine reduction of graphene oxide (GO). The obtain materials were called thermally reduced graphene oxide (rGO-T) and reduced graphene oxide by hydrazine (rGO-HZ). The mechanism involved in both reduction methods were studied. The materials were synthesized and characterized by Raman and Infrared Spectroscopy. The Raman and Infrared spectra were discussed in detail. The bands on rGO spectra using both methods exhibit low intensities compared to GO because of the increased crystallinity related to the deoxygenation of the structure and the decrease of sp(3) carbons. The FTIR also exhibits a lower band intensity compared to GO, because the reduction partially removes the oxygenated groups, so the bands referring to the functional groups decrease in intensity. Therefore, the structural characterization showed that the reduction of GO to rGO were successfully performed.
