摘要
Composite materials with high rigidity as well as high damping capacities were developed by the impregnation of polymer into porous ceramics. Al2TiO5-MgTi2O5 ceramics-acrylic resin composite achieved high damping capacity Q(-1)=0.01-0.04 and Young's modulus E=50-100GPa. As a practicable material, wollastonite ceramics based composite was also developed, which has wood-like properties such as good machinability, large sound velocity and high damping capacity. We have successfully applied the wollastonite ceramic composite to musical instruments.
