A series of mono-functionalized trisulfonated phthalocyanines were prepared in aqueous medium under palladium-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction conditions (Sonogashira, Heck and Suzuki) using water-soluble mono-iodo trisufophthalocyanines as precursors. (c) 2006 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
