Synthesis of a complex compound of potassium monohydrogenphosphate hexaaquacobalt (II) and their studies by single crystal X-ray diffraction, spectroscopic, thermal, magnetic and dielectric characterization

摘要
The hexahydrated potassium cobalt monohydrogenophosphate K-2[Co(H2O)(6)](HPO4)(2) was synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-Ray diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, thermal, magnetic and dielectric conductivity. The Framework of the compound is a three dimensional built up from Co(H2O)(6) octahedron, KO8 polyhedron and HPO42- tetrahedron. The Infrared spectrum confirms existence of P-O and O-H bonds of the anionic monophosphate HPO42- and O(W)-H of the water molecules. The structural changes occurring during heating have been investigated by TG-DTA thermal studies. A law negative Weiss constant suggested that a weak antiferromagnetic exchange interaction between the Co2+ ions in the crystal lattice. The conductivity study of our compound shows that the mechanism conduction provided by the jump of H+ protons between different ions in the crystal lattice. (C) 2020 Elsevier B.V.
