摘要
The opportunity of this work is backed by the possibility to predetermine the operating characteristics of the asynchronous motor in the rated regime, and thus by the possibility of constructing a high performance electric drive. The motors consume a lot of electrical energy, leading to an increase in the operational cost, if run for a long time. Due to its robustness, good power/mass ratio and ease of maintenance, the asynchronous motor is widely used in industry. Qualitative and quantitative predetermination of dynamic processes related to the field of use led to major investments and extensive research in large laboratories. Research on an asynchronous motor with a power of 1.5 kW, with variable parameters, proved that between the simulated and the experimentally determined values, the errors do not exceed 3%. There is a methodical approach for obtaining the values necessary in the design process of the motor used in the drive system of a multiple unit electric train. Simulation waveforms were generated using Mathcad software package, while some preliminary results are provided for a laboratory prototype. The results support the research carried out, providing simulations in compliance with the actual standards for the rated regime. The method is easy to deploy for low-power, fast-response, ripple-free electric drives, delivering greater power savings with respect to the output power, compared with previous research.
