摘要
The electronic structures and optical conductivity spectra of RNi2B2C (R=Y and Lu) were calculated using a tight-binding linear-muffin-tin-orbital method within the atomic-sphere approximation. The calculated optical conductivity spectra agree reasonably well with the experimental ones. Unlike suggestions based on earlier experimental results, a strong optical anisotropy is obtained. Detailed information on the observed interband-absorption features is presented.
