摘要
Propolis is a resinous substances collected by honeybees from various plant sources. Twenty-nine propolis samples were collected from 20 provinces of China. The chemical compositions and antioxidant activities of ethanol extract of the propolis (EEP) were studied. China propolis, except Yunnan and Hainan propolis, had high content of total polyphenol and flavonoid, also had strong reducing power and antiradical activity. Moreover, the activities had strong relation with the content of total polyphenols. Results from RP-HPLC showed that gallic acid, epicatechin, fisetin and baicalin were in most propolis samples of China.
