摘要
We investigate within the effective mass theory, the influence of the shape of the confining potential and the geometry of the Quantum Dot on the diamagnetic susceptibility chi(dia) of a hydrogenic donor using variational method. We compare chi(dia) of a donor in a Spherical Quantum Dot for both infinite and finite barrier model. The effect of the location of the donor and Al composition x of the AlxGa1-xAs barrier of the Quantum Dot is also studied. (C) 2006 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim.
