摘要
The purpose of this study was to advance the state of the knowledge of the relationship between core self-evaluation and psychological well-being by exploring the mechanisms underlying this relationship. This article explores the influence of core self-evaluation on the psychological well-being of 255 civil servants from transportation system. 255 civil servants were measured with the Core Self-Evaluations Scale, Achievement Motivation Scale and the Psychological Well-being Scale. Results show that first, core self-evaluation has a significant positive effect on psychological well-being. Second, core self-evaluation has a significant positive/negative effect on approaching/avoidance motivation. Third, approaching success motivation does not play an mediating role between the core self-evaluation and psychological well-being. Forth, the avoidance of failure does not play a mediating role between the core self-evaluation and psychological well-being.
