Cable Production Process Capability

The processes and phenomena pertinent to product and service quality and to company culture coupled with complex nature of products necessitate a consequent approach to identifying an adequate system of tools and techniques for quality assurance and quality improvement purposes. In our report, we have focused on the cable production phase comprising inspection and verification of extruded cable insulation thickness by means of an automatic profile projector. The resulting cable insulation thickness values have been analyzed with view to production process and insulation extrusion process reliability and failure rates in order to ensure production process efficiency and customer satisfaction.
