XANES study of the charge transfer upon lithium intercalation into lamellar transition metal dichalcogenides

摘要：
XANES S K- and ELNES Ti L-23-edges of TiS2 and LiTiS2 are studied by means of multiple scattering simulations and band structure calculations. Semi-metallic nature of TiS2 is clarified as well as the important role of sulfur, which was before this work believed to be a spectator in the intercalation process.
