摘要：

Following the introduction of the new polycarboxylate based superplasticizer (PCS), self-compacting concrete (SCC) has been used successfully in many countries in the past decades, due to its various advantages such as the improvements in productivity, energy consumption, working environment, quality and aesthetics. Recently, higher performance, lower cost and multi-functional SCC mixtures have been developed. This paper discusses the applications of SCC in various countries, their successful experiences, problems that have been solved, and lessons learned when using this type of concrete.
