Effects of Deformation Rate on Microstructure and Tensile Properties of Cold Rolled Ti-3Al-2.5V Alloy Tube

摘要
Effects of deformation rate on microstructure and tensile properties of cold-rolled Ti-3A1-2. 5V alloy tube were studied. The microstructure was observed by optical microscope and tensile properties were evaluated with a tensile tester. The results show that the microstructure of cold-rolling Ti-3A1-2. 5V alloy tube was bacillarstructure and the crystal preferred orientation became more and more significant with increasing the cold rolling deformation rate. The tensile strength increased a small amount but the strain remarkably decreased with the cold rolling deformation rate increasing from 30% to 70%. Based on the calculated and experimental result, the range of the recrystallization temperature is determined. Our results are important to develop the high performance Ti-3A1-2. 5V alloy tubes and stabilize the production process
