摘要
This paper reported the application of a neoteric pulping technique, alkaline peroxide screw pulp (APSP), on the cotton stalk bast. The technique overcome the disadvantage of the traditional pulping method. In chemical pretreatment stage the main independent variables, such as temperature, reaction time, the amount of sodium hydroxide and additives were investigated which were based on physical index of resulting paper sheets. The results show that the optimum physical performances of paper sheets are achieved at temperature 90 C, reaction time 100min, and the amount of sodium hydroxide 6%. These conditions lead to low pollution, low energy consumption and high yield. It proves that the technique is a competitive pulping method for cotton stalk bast fibre and initiates a new path for abating the lack of long fiber materials in Chinese paper industry.
