Background Since 2015, total elbow arthroplasty and radial head arthroplasty procedures including distal humeral hemiarthroplasty and capitellar replacement have been documented in the elbow arthroplasty registry of the DVSE ("Deutsche Vereinigung fur Schulter- und Ellenbogenchirurgie e.V."). Methods Primary arthroplasties that have been documented until 2018 were analysed. Results A total of 73 elbow and 56 radial head arthroplasties have been documented. Of the elbow arthroplasties, there were 63 total elbows with and 9 without radial head replacement. One was a distal humerus hemiprosthesis. Of the 56 radial head arthroplasties, there were one monobloc and 55 modular prostheses. Data regarding age, sex, indication for surgery, technical details of the surgery and early complications were analysed. Conclusion The documented 76 elbow and 56 radial head arthroplasties pose a good starting point. With good documentation, the detailed collection of data will allow us to analyse larger cohorts in the future.
