摘要
This paper presents the design and fabrication of a sleeve loaded monopole antenna working from 120MHz to 520MHz with the height to be 449mm. The antenna is designed in three steps: calculating the positions and values of the loads with the optimization algorithm, optimizing the sleeve dimension, and designing an appropriate impedance matching network. The measurement result shows the antenna achieves VSWR<2, and omni-directionality with the broadside gain >-2.5dBi, which is in good agreement with the simulation. The antenna has the advantages of low-cost, easy fabrication and great performance, which has great application potential in vehicle antenna.
