A neurosyphilis case in a psychiatric hospital: On an observation

摘要：
Syphilis has disappeared since the use of antibiotic medication at the end of the 1940s. Its frequency is currently on the rise due to AIDS epidemic. We report the case of a 39-year-old man admitted for an acute delusional episode coexisting with a neurosyphilis. MRI findings showed left mesio-temporal abnormalities that disappeared after treatment and recovery. We discuss the links between neurosyphilis and psychiatric disease. (C) 2016 Elsevier Masson SAS.
