摘要
Sewage sludge is used as precursor to prepare sludge based carbon adsorbents by pyrolysis with the steam activation method in fixed bed and fluidized bed. The optimum reaction parameters are investigated based on their methylene adsorption performance. The surface area and pore size distribution, elemental composition and the surface physical morphology are determined. By comparison, the simpler method, lower reaction temperature, higher yield and less reaction time are observed for the one step fluidized bed pyrolysis method. In addition, the sludge based carbon materials prepared in fluidized bed are used for removal of Cu (II) and Pb (II) from aqueous solutions by static experiments, illustrating the potential application of sludge based carbon adsorbents.
