摘要
During the 1990s, new and unconventional forms of popular contention transformed Argentina into a veritable landscape of collective insurgency. Sieges of (and attacks to) public buildings, barricades on national and provincial roads, and camps in central plazas, became widespread in the south, center, and north of the country giving birth to a novel repertoire of collective action. Based on archival research and ethnographic fieldwork, this article examines the structural roots, modalities, and meanings of this bounded array of contentious habits for getting together to make claims to the state.
