摘要
In this paper 17-level single and three phase multilevel inverter is developed by using 10 switches and 6 direct current (DC) power supplies for each phase. The output voltage cycle comprises of all the possible combinations of supplies which giv'e a very high value of output voltage as compared to applied DC voltage. The technique which is used in this paper is switch ladder multilevel inverter (SLMLI) which is the modified form of H-Bridge inverter. In this, three switches conduct during each step hence offers low total harmonic distortion (THD), higher efficiency and greater reliability by giving 17 levels. The THD of the inverter can be further decreased by using constant pulse width modulation (PWM) technique. The root mean square (RMS) value and magnitude of the voltage can be varied by controlling PWM. All the results and simulations are performed in MATLAB/Shnulink.
