摘要
By examining the risk-characteristics of speed-up a 300-mm fab construction, the paper applies building cost risk analysis ( BCRA) technique to simulate the cost risk of speed-up the construction project. An illustrative example of wafer fab.project is presented. After assigning the parameter of the probability distribution function to each cost element, the paper sorting the variance of the major risk elements. The cost risk simulation results of speed-up the fab construction then were represented as a hierarchical tree in term of critical elements. Comparing the construction scheduling, the paper also identifies the characteristics of each critical element in the cost model. The results show that most of the activities of the critical elements for a wafer fab are on the critical path of the scheduling, and highly depend on the request of the clean-room move-in milestone. The simulation results then were used to discuss the. cost of speed-up-fab construction and, its practical and theoretical meanings.
