摘要
Using for communication of industrial devices, MODBUS has various functions with a simple frame. So MOD BUS is the most widely used in the industry. Although the early industrial systems require a simple function, recently they require additional function like remote control and maintenance using communication interface like internet. Since MODBUS was developed to only communicate, external security threat is increasing according to communication-based change, it is necessary to secure MODBUS. We analyze the known vulnerabilities in MODBUS and propose E-ModbusSec to enhance it. Thereafter we show that communication performance of MODBUS is improved as compared with origin by experimental result.
