摘要
The effects of fiber length and coarseness of the non-wood fibers on the tearing strength were studied in this paper. SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) software was used to analysis all the data. In this investigation, the weight-average fiber length could be taken as a parameter of effect of fiber length on tearing strength. The results showed the dependence of tearing strength on fiber length was very strong in a weakly bonded sheet. While for a well-bonded sheet, the dependence of tearing strength on fiber length decreased with the increase of fiber bonding strength. The tearing strength increased with the improvement of the fiber coarseness in a weakly bonded sheet.
