New giant lacewings from the Middle Jurassic of Inner Mongolia, China (Neuroptera: Polystoechotidae)

Two new genera and species of giant lacewings, Meilingius giganteus and Jurapolystoechotes melanolomus, are described and illustrated from the Middle Jurassic Jiulongshan Formation of eastern Inner Mongolia, China. These constitute the first Chinese fossil records of the family Polystoechotidae. The wing venation of the two new species is compared with those of Recent and fossil polystoechotids.
